I can hardly believe that Tobacco and Alcohol have become popular and culturally acceptable, and Cannabis has been prohibited and ridiculed. It's completely preposterous! |
I must disagree. It is people who speak for LEO who do the mixing up(not saying you speak for LEO). True addiction is when you have physical consequences for abruptly stopping the drug. I know what it feels like to withdraw. Like bad flu for about a week. I was habituated to opiates - I stop voluntarily as I did not want a monkey getting a free ride on my back.
People can get used to anything they do or consume. You will miss meat if you stop eating it, if you crave it. Same for sugar. Same for thumb sucking. Same for MJ. You can not accurately say that MJ is addictive. You just miss it if it is gone. Try to remove salt from your food - you will miss it a lot. Your will can over power being missed. Your body can not over power addiction cravings - only solution is detox. Tobacco and Alcohol are addictive in the actual definition of addictive.
So I agree with you "It's completely preposterous!
