Question: I'm wondering how far to plant from a water source....I'm looking at a small stream, marsh, and maybe some springs. I'm trying to eliminate the need to water.

Am I looking to find mostly dry or moist soil? I don't want to run the risk of root rot, but I don't want to worry about them dehydrating either.
