It's hard to explain, it's based mostly on Tao. Tao is everything, it is a part of everything. It's kind of like the energy that runs through everything.
"The nameable tao is not the eternal tao" -Lao Tzu. It has more to do with nature and being one with what's around you, unlike some other religions where it's all about a God. It's hard to sum it up, the best way is to read about it.
