They would need a reason to call the K9 correct? If the bud is in the compartment, it's a void. It's as if its not there at all. It's no longer a worry in your mind. From that point on (once it's in your glove compartment locked) there should be no reason for them to call the dogs on you.
Unless you have bud fragments, dime bags, and blunt guts spread throughout your car; that's a different story. That would just defeat the purpose of locking it in the glove in the first place when you evidence all over the car anyway.
Not once have I ever seen or heard anyone having the K9 unit called on them during a routine stop.
Remember probable cause...
