Eugh, yeah. I understand. I crossed the line to "everyday smoker" without even realizing or thinking about it. Hrm.. could it have been that first quarter I bought that drove me over the edge? Who knows!
Anyway. I've recently run into some financial difficulties. Bah! And have such come to a point where I just simply can't justify buying weed. I've also noticed that life is INSANELY more boring, and slow paced when sober.
It's certainly easy to become used to being stoned all the time, so much so that it becomes your normal state. It's a mental addiction, actually.
There's also something to be said for the habit of smoking pot. It's so much fun to sit down at the computer, log onto The City and burn down a bowl. Do that every day, or twice, three times, or all day, and it becomes a habit. Now, whenever you sit down and log into The City, your brain goes "oh boy! Weed time!" and you crave it. It's a learning process called (by the Psycho-ologists) Classical Conditioning. Ring a bell, then give a dog a treat. Do that 15 times and the dog will start salavating when you simply ring the bell.
Until I was forced into sobriety, I didn't realize just how much weed I was smoking, and how often. I'm not saying that a daily toke is bad, but weed is certainly more of a special treat when you don't burn down daily.
