That's because you either:
1-didn't look very hard, or
2-don't really want to admit they exist

I'm going with #2 because you obviously have The Google and usually engage in disingenuous arguments.

Read on........

""McCain said yesterday he did not expect there to be a recurrence of the smear campaign that occurred in South Carolina in 2000 but the<b> 'Truth Squad'</b> was being formed to immediately rebut any negative attacks on him if they did occur. McCain lost that primary to George W. Bush, effectively ending his bid for the Republican nomination.
On a conference call with reporters, Swindle said the leaflet contained "half-truths and misinformation and was done to try to destroy John McCain in the upcoming election.""

""Democrats are getting worked up over the presence of Col. Bud Day on <b>McCain's "Truth Squad."</b> Day appeared in two of the Swift Vets and POWs for Truth ads that plagued John F. Kerry during his 2004 presidential run.
The Democratic National Committee highlighted Day's appearance on the squad this afternoon, and Kerry himself called on McCain to break ties with Day, saying:
"Senator McCain should condemn these remarks and cut ties with the Colonel and anyone else connected to SBVT. Day's comments only serve to disparage all those who served on swift boats in Vietnam.""

""John McCain's campaign on Tuesday unveiled a new squadron of politicians whose duty will be to battle perceptions that are quickly forming about the Republican party's vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska""

Now come on, be consistent, call McBush a "socialists" or "communists". It took me 2.3 seconds to find numerous articles detailing both candidates "truth squads" had you done ANY research whatsoever you too would have found these articles. But like I said, you're not really interested in honesty or truth, just "liburl" bashing.

"Orwell are you listening?" BWAWAWhahaha

The greatest irony in this issue is WHY McCain started these truth squads to begin with. He was scared--and rightly so--of a repeat of South Carolina in 2000, where THE RUPUBLICAN PARTY showered the state in with disgusting push polls, black-baby-rumors, and attacked John's service record in Vietnam. It cost him the nomination and possibly the White House.

p.s.
Doesn't it strike you as absurd that whilst posting a story from the "liburl media" on Obama's truth squad you bitterly complain about a lack of reporting from the "librul media" on Obama's truth squad?
^^another self-retorting retort alert from Stoned Budda^^
