You are right in concluding that using water removes some of the THC, but the THC does not get absorbed by the water. When the THC floating around near the water cools enough, it falls, literally, and resinates the side of the bong or it sits on top of the water.

Geez, finally someone that knows what they're talking about. Ignorance is going to (and already is) ruin this world...please research things before you go spreading rumors.
