In addition to what the above poster said, look for a lot of stems and seeds, and leaves. Good weed (on the whole!) has little to now stems, seeds, or leaves -- it is properly manicured to be 100% bud.
Of course, some seeds/stems/leaves are acceptable for mids. They should still be scarce, though.
