and yeah nute burn will effect buds for sure.
if you overfert you're going to have unwanted salt buildups which will swing your PH levels causing lockouts, which in turn will effect bud growth.
also all those extra nutes will make your buds smell and taste pretty bad.
small regular feedings and plain water on occasion is all a soil plant needs man.
