After reading up on hydroponics I have become intrigued. By the sounds of it, and please correct me if I'm wrong, it is possible for plants to grow faster and produce denser buds. The question I have is what makes some hydroponic setups superior to others...is it costs to set it up or have to do with how well the plant grows?

I plan on trying to do a small hydro closet grow. The dimensions of my closet are as follws:
Height= 64"
Width= 28"
Length= 36"

Although I have successfully grown with soil in this same closet, I'm wondering what the best hydro method would be. I was considering the wick method because it seems like for the space, it would be the most efficient way to go. As for how many plants I was thinking along the lines of around 4-5. Which brings me to repeat an earlier question, will this produce as good of bud as another method? Or would something like ebb and flow work better? I am not worried about initial costs.

Thanks for any help and advice.
