Hey, do we need one of these? If not or if there already is one in this forum just let this thread die away.
I had trouble grasping all of the terms that were thrown around when i first started smoking, but I eventually got it.
I think a list of some common terms would help out the beginners in starting their smoking endeavours.

If you have any suggestions on some more things to add feel free to post and i will edit them in. I obviously didn't cover everything.


Bud/Weed/Pot/Cannabis/mj/Mary Jane/Chronic/Ganja/Reefer - Several terms for marijuana.
Purple/Purps - Weed that grows with purple leaves and sometimes with purple buds.

Bammer - Low quality weed. Has stems and seeds and shit.
Schwag - Low quality weed. Has stems and seeds and shit.
Brick - Weed that has been compressed. Most likely low quality.
Commercial - Weed that is not very good in quality.
Mids - The middle quality of marijuana. Not bad but not very good.
Beasters - Weed grown in Canada, that is generally decent quality.
Nugs - Weed that comes in nuggets. Usually decent to very good quality.
KB/Kind Bud - Good bud, but the name of the bud is usually not known
Fire - Good bud.
Dank - High quality bud. Usually smelly, sticky, hairy, and crystally.
Headies - High quality bud. High quality bud. Usually smelly, sticky, hairy, and crystally. Usually named.
MMJ/Medical - Named marijuana grown by experienced growers and very high quality.

Indoor - Weed grown indoors. Quality usually depends on whether the grower knows what he's doing.
Outdoor - Weed grown outdoors. Quality usually depends on where it's grown.
Hydro/Dro/Hydroponic - Weed that is grown hydroponically. Quality is usually good but it can be bad.
Indica - Weed plant that grows really bushy.
Sativa - type of Weed plant that grows more stringy than bushy with dense buds.

Joint/Doobie - A marijuana cigarette hand made using rolling papers.
Spliff - Same concept of a joint but with tobacco added in with it.
Blunt/ - A cigar or cigarillo that has been hollowed out and filled with marijuana.

Faded/Stoned/Blazed/Fucked up/Baked/Ripped/ - High
Crossfaded - High + Drunk
Munchies - Feeling you might get when you're high that makes you want to eat, a lot.

Dime - Small amount of weed usually costing 10 dollars. .5-1 grams
Dub/Cut - Amount of weed that usually costs 20 dollars. 1.2-2 grams
Eighth - 1/8 of an ounce.
Quarter - 1/4th an ounce.
Half O - 1/2 an ounce.
O - Ounce.
QP - 1/4 of a pound.
