Well he would have had a hard time selling many copies calling it that. No major retailer would put an album titled that on their shelves in this day and age. Pretty smart move by Nas though, it certainly got people talking. I'm not a huge Nas fan (especially his recent stuff) but he knows how to keep himself relevant.
