The first step in lucid dreaming is to start a dream log. You can prob find a template on line, but basically you record significant events throughout the day. Then the next morning you record the detials of your dream the moment you wake up. The first step is remembering your dreams, because if you cant do that you wont even know if your having lucid dreams. Also a "trigger" helps. My trigger, which is kind of out of my control, is being scared shitless in my dream. If I am really scared or in a horrible situation, then I can normally figure out this all isnt real and I am in a dream. My dream logging helped me figure this out. Also, I havnt done this, but make a habit of flicking on and off lights when you enter a room. If you make it a habit then you might do it in a dream, and in a dream the lights wont flick on and off. You should be able to figure out your in a dream at this point. Also works with digital clocks- they cant be read in dreams, so make a habit of looking at them in your waking life. Hope this helps. I would start doing a dream log if you seriously want to lucid dream though.
