Optimum conditions includes, plenty of light, right temperature, co2, proper humidity, prober ferts and nutrition. The yeilds are really just figures to tell you if you'll get a bit more growing different kinds, they dont figure in anything like light schedules, how long you keep it in veg and that sort of thing.
I was confused by this when i first started looking at seeds, and again like mycroft said its just used as a benchmark to compare outputs of different strains so take it with a grain of salt.

Hey guys... just browsing but I've grown 1lb indoor plants. Not hard at all but very long veg at 3 months. You will need to FIM and pinch as well as clearing and cleaning the bottom half of the plant as the overall result will be SOG in a 3x3 chamber like mine. This way growth is focused on the top while constantly staying short and wide. A bit much to get into on this thread but hit me up if you wanna give it a try.
