I think what people say when they say "be a man" is like learn how to not be a boy. Men all start out as boys and sometimes boys don't know how to live amongst society. Any person with a cock and balls can be MALE, but it takes understanding, knowledge, love, compassion, intellegence and sophistication and RESPECT, both given and received to be a MAN.

It takes learning how to fear and the courage to admit you're afraid, it takes the wisdom to know how to act and NOT REACT when someone crosses you in any way.

Being a man is more than words and what someone tells you, it's living amongst a society and being a real person, considerate of the other people on this planet, not only out for your own gain.

Being a man is not easy, and it takes time to learn. Thats why we have laws about how old one needs to be to do responsible things like learn how to drive, or vote or shoot a gun or drink.

Being a man does not necessarily
(lmao) mean killing and shooting everyting you see. It means having the maturity and responsibility to realize the power you have to be a responsible member of our society.

I think it's more than just status, or growing to a certain age, its about responsibility.
aaaaaargh!

lol.

half of what you wrote is perpetuating the myth i was trying to destroy, and the other half is just good advice for anyone, regardless of gender or manness.

anyways,
i'll just say my part again.
what does it take to be a man?
three requirements are as follows:
adult. male. human.

but hey ho... at least bongish has the modern version free of stereotyping, and not the old fasioned testosterone & sweat driven stereotype of facial fuzz, checked shirt, muscles, sexist biggotry and chewin tobaca.
