Yeah growing mj is a very personal activity. So many opinions and 'gurus' out there lol. But what guide was this out of curiosity?

Ok so now I know what pumping is, never heard of it but you want to make sure your roots are well saturated and there are no dry pockets in your soil. Obviously that would cause root damage affecting overall health/potency/yield. As long as you have good drainage and you let the soil dry out a little in between waterings you shouldn't have to worry too much about overwatering. I don't know if I buy the theory that that guide is promoting.
