To answer your first question, yes that's pretty much what I am describing. What you are describing is having one fan on the left wall and one on the right wall with the duct work going to both sides of the light bringing in air from several air holes at the bottom of the box, right?
For the filter here is a link to what I will be doing in the way of a filter. It's going to cost me about 15.00 for 4 carbon filters.
