I've found the bud density of different strains to be inconsistent. Some dense, nicely trimmed, properly cured indicas can be super dense, and weigh a lot for their size, Fluffy sativas or leafy buds will appear bigger from a distance, because they are spaced out and the leaves are large compared to the bud itself. Eyeballing buds is pretty inaccurate. If you don't have a scale, then ask your dealer. Any dealer who doesn't weigh it out in front of you if you ask or doesn't have a scale is sketchy. The only "dealer" who didn't have a scale was a sketchy middleman who gave me a 2g sack of OG Kush for $60. This was the first and last time I fronted money, and the last time I dealt with sketchy people.
