I wouldnt really bother trying to change your parents views, you will be outta the house soon, until then just keep your business your business. After i found out my mom snooped through my shit, it was then from then on hidden on the roof in a fire proof safe.
Your parents DO have the right to search your room, whenever man, its there house, if the police come and find that, its SERIOUS problems for them if the cop is a dick. I mean they have every right to be mad, and you have every right to be mad they searched your room. I mean it sucks its like that, but we have to deal with it as were doing something that is illegal. lol.
