1. I would get them spaced apart, just dig deep when you go to transplant

5. I wouldnt mess with soil where they are growing now but I would transplant the ones close together in new holes with fresh soil

6. Yes, something high in Nitrogen for now until the end of June, then a high phosphorus nutrient after that. I feed once every 2 weeks

7. You sound like you get good amounts of rain like me, I would only water if I was you when you go to fertilize.
