Actually it quite easy to snap the perc off and everything on the outside be fine, Cause when the tube is bumped or tapped it causes vibrations through the whole piece, Which can cause breakage of the perc.
And sorry to correct you but Lux tubes are blown in the same shop by the same artist using the same glass as all RooR.us tubes, So the quality is the same.
