12/12 Light Cycle Interuption: Consequences and how to recover?

My plants have been flowering under 12/12 about 7 weeks now. Last week the light cycle was interrupted and they received 48 hours of straight "lights-on." I'm now starting to see the effects of this. The bud tops are stretching and have only a small amount of flowers on the stem. It kinda just looks like there's a 2"stem popping out the top of nicely formed bud. I don't have any new pictures but I've created a rendering of what it kind-of looks like.

**** THIS IS JUST A RENDERING... NOT THE ACTUAL PICTURE ***

Questions:

If the plants did in fact switch back to the vegetative cycle then were put back into the flower cycle, does the flower cycle reset to day 1 or will they pick up where they left off in the cycle? Should I expect the flowers to take bit longer to finish now?

Is there anything I can do to help them at this point? any specific nutrients, supplements, hormones etc... that might help them transition back to flowering?

Most importantly... did I just screw this grow?

Thanks.
