Best natural nutrients are in fish emulsion. Bury a dead fish in your grow mound, and it will give you results that will make you smile.

Plant matter decaying will attract ants, that may eat your plants.

Let your water de-chlorinate for 12 hours before applying it, if you get it from a municipal source. Check the PH if you can, for little plants 6.4- 6.8 is ok, 6.5 is optimal. A drop of vinegar or two will lower ph, or you can get PH up or PH down, which are available at most garden stores.

No extra ferts should be needed for the 1st month. If you plant with the fish, you may not need them at all. Good luck, and enjoy!
