GrassCity Band

So... I was smoking a bowl, playing guitar, and got this crazy idea. There are several members on GC who play an instrument and have similar musical tastes. Wouldn't it be sweet if we could all jam together and collaborate over the internet?

We should start recording tracks to send back and forth to each other, which we could then add to and build up into full songs. Obviously it would have to begin with drums and bass, and then other members could add guitar and other instruments.

Anyone else want to participate? To start off, we need someone who plays drums or can make drum tracks with a drum machine. If you have a track you want to contribute, post in this thread. It doesn't have to be professional quality, just good enough to listen to without cringing. Then a bassist can come along and record a bass line over it, and I'll be happy to add guitar after that.

Also, we can't limit it to any particular recording software since everyone uses different ones. We won't work on it as an open project file, but rather each instrument will build on top of the existing file. So mp3 or a similar format would be best. Doesn't matter if you have a full home studio or just use a PC mic, or if you use Pro Tools, Acid, Garage Band, Fruity Loops or just a very basic freeware multitrack recorder.... anything will do.

Anyone else interested?
