I have mixed up quite a bit of soil in a recipe that was highly reccomended, blood & bone meal, Sunshine Mix, Lime, Epsom Salt, ect. Except I have just read that planting your germinted seeds in this mix will kill them. Something about the blood meal or something kills the baby plants. Is there any truth to this?

Can I use some regular potting soil in Jiffy Pots to start my seedlings then just transfer them to my good soil? Will this work, or will the jiffy pots as a buffer between the two soils mess it up?
