u can keep the plants on a 24/0 light cycle (24hrs on/0hrs off), or a 18/6 light cycle (18 on/6 off), your choise & a personal pref. mj plants dont require a dark (lights off) period during veg. & keep those lights 2-4" away from the plants @ all times. if u have 2 cool bulbs use them, if not use both warm & cool, the cool will give u a better foliage. there are 2 ways to tell when they need water, the 1st is by the weight of the pot w/ soil dry, then water them & feel the weight difference, eg: dry soil = light, wet soil = heavy. the 2nd way is to stick your finger in the soil about 2-3" deep, if soil is dry @ the end of finger they need water. since your useing tubes, u need to paint the surrounding walls (where the plants are) a flat white, or line the walls w/ foil (dull side out) w/ as little crinkles as possible, u want it smooth, or u can get some mylar & line the walls w/ it, this will help reflect light back on the plants better. they shouldnt need nutes till about wk 2-4 depending on growing conditions.
