The 8" vortex exaust fan will force air in the closet through your other vent tube; However, the vacuum may be so strong that it lowers the air pressure in the closet which in turn will result in lower CO2 levels. Make sure you have ample sources for the air to draw in to the closet. Perhaps another vent tube or two to allow the air to flow. Placing the exaust fan up top is a good idea just like Herbal Remedies said due to the fact that heat rises and this will remove heat and attract cool air from the bottom so long as your intake vents are down there.
