Hello all-

In about 2 weeks, I will be starting an internship with a government contracts firm (i.e. they aren't in the private sector but they work exclusively with the government). I worked for this firm last year, however it was under different circumstances as I was not technically an employee of their company, I was an independent contractor. In filling out my application for this job, I agreed to submit to background screening.

I have been a regular marijuana user for the past 7 months, and am worried about being administered a drug test. While I consider it unlikely that this happens (I will be an intern, not exactly a high up position, and my mother works for the company), the worries have been pretty much consuming my thoughts since I started to consider this situation. The last time I smoked was the evening of May 7th, around 9 PM. I plan to abstain until work starts, which will probably be the morning of May the 20th.

I guess my questions are these: What do you think is the likelihood of me even being tested, and what is a good way to pass the test if I am to be (I would prefer not to buy products that are made for passing drug tests and would prefer something more along the lines of diuretics)?
