shit like that has happened to me twice. both times outdoors. one time I smoked a LOAD of bud it was strong shit. I got FUCKED UP i was lost. basically like what you said. but completely different sittuations. I talked on the phone. I was freakin out. and the other time I smoked like half a pretty big bowl. it was really dark. and it was outside. we were by a water front. and it was amazing. not as crazy. but deffinately really intense. and this was due to REALLLY strong weed.
