here are the facts:
1. matanuska thunderfuck was a blanket term for a number of different pure-indica strains that were passed around and cultivated in a region of alaska known as the matanuska valley
2. this was never an actual strain, and "its" seed was never made commercially available. it is likely that none of the plants' seed ever left the valley.
3. anything produced now that claims to be mtf is likely to be a pure-indica plant that produces a powerful body high much like the fabled valley weed. not to say it won't be great, let's face it; grown properly, a seed claiming to be mtf is probably not going to disappoint.
if you live in alaska, the term 'matanuska thunderfuck' should be nothing more than a joke.
[p.s. and yes, a plant placed outdoors in the summer will grow very vigorously. unfortunately in most places, everywhere except maybe kodiak, juneau, and a few islands, the flowering season is just too short to allow a plant to fully flower before temperature takes its toll. many people will veg inside before the start of the season, then put the plants in a greenhouse to flower, covering them nightly, to take full advantage of the insane sunlight. 1000w hps is laughable compared to the alaskan summer sun]
