What's he supposed to do, organize a militia? For all practical purposes, the federal government doesn't recognize state laws that interfere with federal laws, especially when it comes to drugs. There isn't shit California can do other than elect senators who will vote yes for medical marijuana in the U.S. Congress. Because on June 6, 2005, the Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 decision that Congress has the right to outlaw medicinal cannabis, thus subjecting all patients to federal prosecution even in states where the treatment is legalized.
