i think you misunderstood his question, if you want to keep the male to get pollen but do not want it to pollinate your females, a seperate grow room on 12/12 would probably be necessary or you could pop it in a clone/mother veg room if you just want to keep the male growing for however long.
as for feminized seeds, i hear the best way to do it is let a female go about a week or two past optimal harvest date and it will turn hermi in order to keep its strain alive. you'll want to isolate the plant and take the pollen from the male pollen sacks shootin out the bud.
when this pollen is put on a bud from another female it will produce all female seeds without too much worry of the new feminized plants going hermi.
*this is not from personal experience but from my research so hopefully a more advanced member cancorrect me if i am wrong on any of that
