While some counties hand out id cards with a doctor's recommendation, most dispensaries want to see the original recommendation and do not accept just the id card. If you do not have a recommendation from a doctor, you can not use the services of a dispensary.
One thing to keep in mind is that the County of San Diego forced all dispensaries to shutdown. However, there are plenty of doctors and dispensaries in Orange County, just north of San Diego County.
When you move down to San Diego I'm sure that you will be able to find someone on this board to help you find a good place to go.

I thought i read somewhere on here you can just get a med card from a doctor by giving him money. Like all you have to do is pay for it. Or do you have to have a condition to get the reccomendation?
