To much fertilizer?

I fertilized yesterday for the first time. I made the mixture extremely diluted, like 1 part fertilizer to 6 parts water. They do seem to be larger this morning, but i noticed that there are some white spots on my favorite plant. It does not look like heat burn from the bulbs, but actually just dried up fertilizer. I was going to get a spray bottle full of water and gently wash the leaves off to see if that was the problem.

If it continues, or gets worse, what should I do?

I tested the pH before I fertilized and it was perfect, and I really don't think that that small amount of fertilizer would throw it out of balance that much, if I must, I can always just NPK levels.

Edit: I gently wiped the leaves down with water, the spots seemed to have gone away. False alarm.
