My favorite strain for outdoors here is Lowriderxak47 cross. Southeast you will have problems with mold due to high amounts of rain. But Southcentral and interior you wont have any problems.

You can grow any strain but our light cycles realy give a person hell. By the time we reach natural 12/12 here it is Aug. You can build a cover that forces plants into a 12/12 cycle. Look in cabelas (sp?) for the covers deer hunters use. They are hard to spot and are decently cheap. But that requires alot of work, you have to go out there and put the cover on, and then go back and take it off. If this is in your backyard then it is no big deal, but if your remote with a 2 hr hike each way this is not a viable option.

Another thing to keep in mind is how easy it can be seen from the air. Alaska has the highest plane ownership in the world. Seems like everyone has one, and they are all over... Go to the area for a day and just count how many small aircraft fly over. Make sure plants are hidden. Camo your pots, stager plants, find natural plants to hide mj in. My personal favorite is Devils club, no one will go near it (for good reason) and as long as your plants are under 6 ft the will hide them well. Animals seem to avoid it also.

I think those pots would work. I think its had to go wrong with 5gal buckets imo.
