I figure it's time for an update
If you haven't seen my post in sick plants (
http://forum.grasscity.com/sick-plan...bugs-help.html) then I should inform that we have insects (or mites.) Hundreds upon hundreds of tiny slightly-pink too small to identify are in the soil. We have yet to see any on the plants themselves. One of our friends says it's because the plants aren't mature and that the pests will eventually die or migrate.
Otherwise the plants are looking good. The pests haven't make any adverse effects, so we're not really going to put too much stress into it. We both agreed that chemical pesticide isn't for us.
I have heard of the nicotine method. I know that nicotine will disable insects central nervous systems, so we may take one plant away and test blowing tobacco smoke (pure tobacco, not Camel, Marlboro etc), with proper ventilation of course, at the pot. See if that messes with the pests without harming the plant.
Oh well. They are now four weeks old
