Starting my grow - I have some questions
Hey how's it going guys? I'm finally ready to start my grow, i have the time, means and equipment to begin. But I am a noob when it comes to this sort of thing. And I do have some questions I am still not sure about. First of all my grow room is about 12 Feet long, 7 Feet High, and 6 Feet Wide. Its a pretty small room.
I have no way of circulating air in and out of the room besides the door to get inside. So I am using a C02 system which the guy at the hydroponics store said should be good enough for the plants. I'm setting it to 30 Minutes Off, and 30 Seconds on to start.
I am using a Carbon Filter to cover the smell. The bulbs I am using are one 1000 W MH Sylvania Bulb. And the other is a HPS 1000 W Sylvania Bulb. The room has been covered with Black and White Poly except the ceiling. For the first two weeks I was going to light the plants for 18 hours, because I simply do not have enough time to watch them for
24 hours straight unfortunately.
I ordered my seeds and I have 2 different strains: 10 seeds of Northern Lights which has a vegetation of 4-7 internodes. Flowering takes 55 days. Average height is 0.5 - 0.75 Meters. Yield is 300 - 325 grams / m2 (dried / indoor). The other strain I have is Skunk #1. Basically I am looking to grow as many plants as I can with the lights I have. So if anyone can answer these questions for me that would be great:
1. How many plants can I grow effectively? I was thinking about 6-8 plants. But I understand the more plants I have may not grow properly is that correct? It would be nice to get as much cannabis as I can from one grow room as possible.
2. Can I use the two different strains, like Northern Lights and Skunk in the same crop? Or would it be better to just stick with Northern Lights for now?
3. I don't have any peat moss pots, but instead the guy at the store gave me these small pucks I am supposed to put the seeds in. Will those work just as good? I was going to Germinize the seeds, use Super Thrive, put them in my humidity chamber, and when they sprout place the pucks in 2 galloon pots I had. Then when they get big enough I
was going to transplant them into the larger 6 galloon pots. Does that sound good?
If you guys could help me with some of these questions that would be great. Any other suggestions would be great as
well. Thanks alot.
