Bingo, it is a matter of economics, esp in hydro, I can give my AK-47's 2000 PPM and get dark, nearly black fan leaves. But if I give them 1200 PPM I get nearly the same color fan leaves. However weight is the same.
So why waste the money spent on nutes? That shit ain't cheap!!
Once you find the max PPM a strain can take, the next goal should be what is minimum PPM it can take without sacrificing weight. And along that journy you'll find out what is it's special needs are such as mag, phos, Fe, nitrogen.... it's called dialing it in.
