same here for the most part man.. i rarely check my soil PH because my plants don't stay in the same dirt for that long and i'm really careful as to the PPM & PH of what goes into it.
that whole discussion started by someone suggesting to feed a yellowing plant nitrogen by looking solely at a picture and having no other info on the PH or anything else. The consensus usually says to check your soil PH before just adding nutes.
Personally even though i know the PPM and PH of my solution.. if i notice any issues with my plants i still check the soil PH just to be sure that it's inline before i try to add nutes to correct it. Call me a freak but that's what i was taught to do.
