NO that is incorrect. One big reason why marijuana plants make resin (or THC) is to protect the plant from drought. That's why it is a good idea to starve (but keeping a close eye on your girls; wilting of leaves is too far) your plant from water (if growing in soil/organic) a couple days before harvest. In defense, the plant will secrete more THC to prevent it from drying out. Plus it helps with drying/curing.
