To my knowledge, dark matter/energy is just energy/matter that we cannot pecieve via instuments as existing, except for "holes" in equations. The elusive dark energy/matter could just be another type we haven't observed yet. Therefore, matter and darkmatter, energy and darkenergy, are not different, still energy/matter, just not in the conventional sense we use, and not yet observable.
