As for the hps / mh question i would go with both for flowering if you can, its always good to have both ends of the spectrum wile flowering.
I would do 24/0 for the first couple weeks, once the plants have a couple fan leaves i would cut it back to 18/6 to give them somewhat of a photo period to use the food they made with the lights on.
