Why does it have to be a cover up? Religions have (and continue to still do so, despite what you may think) and most likely always will continue to incorporate psychoactive substances in their rituals. Again, if you dont believe me, look up the Rastafarian movement and learn something.
Furthermore, maybe lying is a "sin" which goes against
YOUR "God", but your God is not everyone
elses God. Once you learn that you will have taken the first step in becoming a better person.
