that is not necessarily true. While it could have been a hermie that your bud cam from, some careless grower could have just had a male plant in with their females. But usually seeds from bud would come from a hermie. This is not bad, because that is feminization, where, either the seeds will be female, or hermie.. you will not have an all male plant in there. So you actually have a good chance that your plants from these seeds will be female. If you grow them, just keep an eye on them and try to spot the hermie in it, and take control before the pollen sac can open and pollinate your bud. you should generally only use these plants for 1 generation, because of inbreeding problems after that, but when your plants get bigger, you can just clone your females, and be set
There are good threads on spotting hermies, and taking care of them, as well as cloning, if you are not sure on a good way to do that. And everyone here is more than welcome to answer pretty much all of your questions.
