Just wanted to let anyone who is keeping up with this thread know I finally received my order from Grass City (a cool looking bamboo bong with a coconut base, and a little soapstone grinder).

It came in a plain white box, which is good. But a sticker on the outside of the box listed the contents as "Bamboo pipe". Really fucking discreet guys! LOL!!! I'm totally amazed customs didn't intercept my package because of that sticker!

I got everything I ordered, but the first time I tried to use the bong, I noticed it had a leak where the coconut attaches to the wooden base. Also, instead of the nice wooden party bowl shown in the picture, the bong came with a plan little aluminum one-hitter bowl. There was no disclaimer on the product page to indicate the bong I receive may not look exactly like the one shown, so now I have to buy a wooden bowl to have a bong that looks like the one I ordered. This was supposed to be a present for my wife, so this was disappointing. She was like, "Jee, thanks for the leaky ass bong honey!" I can probably seal the leak with glue, but I'm still pissed that the bong was sent to me defective, and that it did not come as shown on the website.

I am now trying to contact Grass City to see what they are willing to do to make this right. So far, every 'contact us' link on their website seems to be down, so I haven't even been able to e-mail them yet.

I live in a very isolated part of the Florida Keys, so unless I want to drive 50 miles or so to get to a head shop, I have no choice but to order pipes and other accessories online. Besides, bamboo bongs are hard to come by since most folks understandably prefer glass. So even if I drove to a head shop, it's doubtful they would have bamboo bongs which has always been my preference.

If Grass City doesn't make this right, this will be my first and last order from them.

Since I used the bong already, it now smells like citrus skunk nuggets from 20 feet away (believe me I'm not complaining about that!). LOL!!! So I am not going to try and return it for fear of customs busting me. I guess the best I can hope for is that Grass City will agree to send me another one.

To be fair to Grass City, I will post the results of my request for a replacement bong in this thread (if their 'contact us' links ever get back online).

Sorry to rant, but I wanted others to know about this so you can decide for yourself whether to order from Grass City in the future.

On a positive note, the bong hits really smooth and got me and the wife high for hours! I got so high I forgot the bong had a leak and thought I pissed myself! LOL!!!
