Thanks for the guide DierWolf.

LST seems to be definitely the way to go.

Theres endless benefits to making your plant grow like this:

1 - You can grow in a smaller space. Like a shorter cupboard.

2 - You get more yield. (although this is something that people continually debate over, sigh)

3 - You're getting more effect from your lights this way.

4 - You can see ALL the leaves ALL the time, you just look down on your plant, its far better, no need to even move or touch it at all, you can see any yellowing leaves etc just by looking down on it.

5 - Every single leaf of the plant gets the maximum amount of light - this is the main thing out of all these points!

6 - My own personal theory - because the stems are horizontal, does this increase the flow of fluids around the plant? It must! It simply must! Maybe this explains why you get a better yield from a plant grown in such a manner? Apart from of course the increased lighting.

Lots of people grow their plants the conventional "natural way" but I can't see why you wouldn't do LST. Its not just the higher yield its also the fact that where you might have had one plant in a full sized wardrobe, now with this way you could partition off that wardrobe and fit 2 plants in, one in the top half one in the bottom. Way more bud man WAY MORE and thats what everyone is aiming at - maximum yields.

Was wondering - can you just clip the stem down with those plastic coated paper clips? I say plastic because you don't want them going rusty on you. String is not really the best thing because theres no way using string to pin down the stems the way you show in the diagrams - however paperclips, as long as the strength of the stem does not pull the paper clip out, would be perfect.

Makes me wonder why plants don't grow like this in nature, lol, I mean you can grow a cannabis plant IN CAPTIVITY and do LST on it and so it grows better, more bud at the end of it. I guess really plants are just dumb and always grow towards the light.

Thanks again for this guide, I would not even know where to start if i hadn't found this!
