A receptionist for the Cook County public defender's office pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges she accepted a delivery of nearly 38 pounds of marijuana at her Loop office.

Lamour Holloway, 40, of the 2300 block of West Monroe Street, is charged with possession of cannabis.

<!-- END LEAD --><!-- START REST --> She was arrested Nov. 27 after an undercover officer, dressed as a UPS worker, delivered the package to Holloway at the Cook County Administration Building at 69 W. Washington St.

A police dog had detected drugs in the package, which was shipped from California and addressed to Holloway.

A short time later, Holloway was arrested when, prosecutors said, she attempted to load the drugs into a vehicle in which her husband was waiting.
