Sometimes numbers can be misleading though. TDs, receptions...those are concrete. But receiving average? That could be thrown off by a screen pass to either receiver where they only gained a yard, and it brings their average way down. Terrell Owens is a fantastic player, no doubt about it and he's right up there in running, but I think the press is going to focus on how Moss came back from obscurity, how some thought he was washed up, and he did it without missing a step. You could point to TO's four touchdowns in 3 quarters game (11/18), but Moss did the same in two quarters (same day)!

When do they vote on it? Do they take into account the playoffs, or is it like the MLB where C.C. Sabathia can suck in the postseason and still beat the ALCS MVP Josh Beckett (who had more regular season wins) for the Cy Young?
