This is along the same lines as, if we didn't have stupid people, there wouldn't be any smart people, which is totally true.

I agree, the first time I smoked marijuana, it wasn't the super dank. It was some shitty mexican brickweed. And I am glad that I smoked it so that I do know that it is shitty and that there is much better shit out there for me to enjoy.
