Disclaimer : I cannot be held responsible for any things that could happen to you or anyone around you while attempting to make this thing. It is pretty easy to do but when working with glass and dremel use caution! If you miss, fail, cut yourself or anything ... not my fault.
----------------------------------------------------------------
To make a bong for yourself to enjoy using any glass bottle of practically any shapes you will need the following things :
-The glass bottle you want to use (I used a 14oz goldschlager one because I thought the shape was perfect for a bong and I don’t like big bong very much !!!
-A dremel or a drill (I recommend a dremel as the speed can be more controlled and more constant)
-Diamond Bits (This is the most important this is the only way to pierce glass without any brokeage at all but still) I used a conic shape one to make the hole and oversize it a little bit and a cylinder shape bit to make the hole bigger and faster. Diamond bits should be widely available at your local hardware shop for around 10$ a piece.
-Water (a sink would be the best) for lubrication. You could use a little squirt bottle and spray often but a sink with a little flow of water is the best.
-Downpipe w/ it’s rubber and slider (easiest way)
**PICTURE 1 and 2**
OR
-Metal down tube with bowl and It’s rubber BUT this way you will have to do a second hole (carb hole)
-And time ... because if you try to rush this job ... it will fail !
1. First of all clean the bottle and ‘’prepare it for the bong making. Then you should mark the spot where you want to do the hole for the downpipe (and carb hole if you are not using a slider). Then when piercing glass with diamond bits you need lubrication and for lubrication we are going to use something free ... WATER ! I make my bong in the sink in my bathroom so i could have a continuous flow of water on the bits. Diamond bits needs water to work well because otherwise they will overheat and might broke (at 10$ a piece I didn’t wanted to buy another lol).
2. I started my hole with my small conic shaped diamond bits to start the hole. It is important not to use lot of pressure (small pressure) and with a little water flow on it. Be careful as the bits might walk a little bit!
2.5 If you’re not using a slider you should now start the carb hole because if you miss the carb hole all the job involved in the other hole will be thrown to garbage.
3. When the hole was big enough, I continued to grind the glass with my cylinder shaped diamond bits in circular motion trying to make to hole bigger and the most possible in a circle shape. Remember you still need to use some water on it
**Picture 3**
**Picture 4 is the finished hole**
4. Test the downpipe often to see if it is near to fit or if it’s already fitting because there is no way back. If you make the hole too big you’ll have to use epoxy or anything to make the bong airtight so go little by little and test often to not make to hole too big
5. Place the rubber over the hole and put the downpipe in it. Clean the bottle to make sure there are no more glass dust in the bottle because you don’t want to inhale or drink that. Place the slider in place and make sure everything is airtight
**FINAL RESULT : Picture 5 and 6**
6. Place you favourite stash in the bowl and enjoy you new and homemade bong. Feel nice to smoke in something you make yourself !
MILKSHOT :Picture #7
I named it Goldeneye because of the name of the alcohol that was in it and because when you take a hit from him it kills you ! Hits really good was impressed how it is nice !
Project time and cost:
-20$ for the diamond bits
-11$ for the downpipe, it's rubber and a slider
-About 30minutes to get all the stuff to make this project
-About an hour to complete from start to finish the bong
-Difficulty level : ***/*****
I did this bong and this guide please feel free to use it but if you want to post it somewhere else please ask me ... would be nice if this could get sticky !!!
Enjoy,
Big T
